The aim of the Project is to study dispersion characteristics of various types of axial high-speed impellers (i.e. gas flooding and gas loading), power input of impellers both in single-phase and two (gas-liguid), phases systems and pumping capacities ofimpellers in dependance of their design. Various types of axial impellers with inclined blades and with hydrofoil blades will be tested in a pilot plant system similar to mechanically agitated bioreactors; influence of the kinematic viscosity of agitated charge under turbulent regime on its flow will be examined, as well. All the results of experiments will be evaluated be means of the theoretical approach including equations of both single -and two-phase flow of mechanically agitated charge. Then description of the dispersion effect of various types of axial high-speed impellers and their energy consumption in dependance on their design and process characteristics will be determined in the quantitative form from
