Podstatou projektu je výzkum a vývoj metod řešení mechanických problémů hnacích traktů osobních a nákladních vozidel na základě aplikace virtuálního hnacího traktu, koncipovaného jako modulární výpočtový systém. Výsledky virtuálních prototypů a technických experimentů budou aplikovány při vývoji pohonných jednotek osobních a nákladních automobilů.
