On the project
Description in EnglishFocus short pulses of laser light (Nd:YAG laser) onto the material under test, which can be used for industrial-processing applications, such as micromanufacturing (drilling holes), micromachining and microoptics. On such processed material laser spectroscopy techniques will be applied in order to find suitable material for different industrial applications. Optimisation of the laser parameters. Develop and test a remote fibre system for a truly remote spectroscopy technique and for the "line-of-site" measurements. This technique can be applied in the hostile environments within industry. Evaluate the physical characteristics of laser produced plasmas, as they are suitable for accurate quantitative spectrochemical analysis.
