On the project

Description in English
The global objective of the project is to create conditions for the implementation of quality teaching and research in the doctoral program "Biomedical Technology and Bioinformatics", with the help of top laboratory equipment. This will lead to the improvement of the education of high-quality scientists, who will be able to apply them more easily in the commercial sector as well as in the field of research and development in scientific centers in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. The education and support of these scientists will provide a new generation of high-quality professionals capable of leading both basic and applied research in a highly interdisciplinary environment such as these research centers and commercial firms. This will also result in the implementation of the objectives set out in the Industry 4.0 initiative, particularly in the field of education. Improving the education of scientists will be complemented by a complementary ESF project aimed at the fundamental innovation of the study program. Overall, the expertise and skills and also the "soft skills" of doctoral graduates will be enhanced. The specific objectives of this project are to modernize the instrument and software background as follows: 1. Laboratory of Biophysics I - Complex Innovation. 2. Laboratory of Biophysics II - Complex Innovation. 3. Laboratory of genomics and proteomics - supplementation and innovation of selected workplaces. 4. Laboratory of Diagnostic Techniques - Complex Innovations. Existing equipment will be shifted and a new laboratory dedicated to research and teaching in cellular biology will be established. 5. Laboratory of Microscopy - completion of new workplaces. 6. Implementation of a computational cluster with current software equipment for complex calculations on large data in bioinformatics and chemoinformatics.
