On the project

Další výsledky projektu budou v podobě získaných znalostí z oblasti vývoje samotného zařízení a z oblasti vývoje nanosatelitů. Nanosatelity představují velký technologický trend v současném světě kosmických aplikací.

Description in English
The main goal of the project is to create a prototype of a pressure sensor and verify the functionality of this unique technology in open space conditions. In addition to technical compliance of pressure sensor, it will be also verified the measurement test-bed and its feasibility for use in space applications. Further results of the project will be in the form of knowledge gained from the development of the pressure sensor for space applications itself and from the development of the nanosatellite. Nanosatellites represent a major technological trend in the current world of space applications. The development and production of nanosatellite components are becoming available to the current Czech SME enterprises. Successful verification of devices and components by nanosatellite experiments will rapidly increase their competitiveness, and the Czech Republic can contribute to this dynamically growing market, which will reach nearly $ 30 billion in the coming decades. By 2025, approximately 7000 small satellites are expected to be launched, which may include the newly developed BD SENSORS pressure sensor and other related technologies. Gained experience is also useful in designing larger satellites and integrating our technologies into many of our potential customers' devices. The result of this project enables us to present ourselves on the world market and for the further development of the company to gain an indispensable successful realization in space, the so-called 'Space Heritage'. Our technology, thanks to this project, would reach TRL (Technology Readiness Level) level 9, according to the ESA classification. In space flights, where the highest level of technology reliability is required, fulfilling this key requirement is absolutely necessary. This project allows us to do all complex verifications and testing of all our strategic components and sensors and possibly reach this highest ESA classification level.
