On the project

Phase contrast imaging (PCI) is used to extend X-ray computed tomography (CT) technique for analyzing samples with low X-ray contrast. This project is focused on the evaluation of the suitability of laboratory CT system with a helical trajectory for propagation-based PCI in. It is based on a combination of three criteria - an imaging regime, a degree of coherency and geometrical unsharpness. These conditions will be practically evaluated and discussed in terms of different properties and settings of HeliScan CT machine available at CEITEC.
