On the project

The main objective of this project is to carry out a complete structural and magnetic characterization of iron oxide nanoparticles synthesized by two different chemical routes with respect to the viscosity of the environment, amplitude and frequency of the applied field, and the duration of field exposure. Moreover, we will investigate the possibility to synthesize aggregates of these nanoparticles with low fractal dimensions, which are predicted theoretically to have higher specific absorption rates compared to isolated particles or their three-dimensional clusters.
