Možnosti léčby osteoartrózy malých kloubů jsou poměrně omezené a výrazně přispět by mohlo rozšíření možností zavádění malých kloubních implantátů. Jednou z cest pro zajištění lepší dostupnosti implantátů je implementace aditivních technologií výroby Pozornost bude věnována parametrům aditivní výroby při snaze zajistit dostatečnou mechanickou pevnost implantátů, odolnost proti únavovému poškození a vhodné biotribologické vlastnosti.
