Projekt je zaměřen na čtyři oblasti aplikované optiky, které jsou rozvíjeny na Ústavu fyzikálního inženýrství (ÚFI): 1. Využití techniky LIBS ve spojení s rentgenovou počítačovou mikrotomografii ke charakterizaci struktury a prvkového složení analytu 2. Experimentální biofotonika - výzkum pokročilých metod světelné mikroskopie a jejich aplikací 3. Využití metody zobrazování spektrofotometrie k měření optických parametrů tenkých vrstev vytvářených v průmyslové praxi 4. Numerické simulace pokročilých nanofotonických struktur
