On the project

The understanding of the role of grain boundaries in modern materials is crucial for proper device design. The WS2 nanotubes have a wide span of potential applications in electronics and optoelectronics (sensors, FET transistors and recently also BPVE). Despite that, the role of grain boundaries and defects on electrical properties has not been addressed so far. This project proposes a systematic study on the influence of grain boundaries and defects in ws2 nanotubes on their electrical properties.
