On the project

Yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) polycrystalline ceramics is widely used as laser gain medium, scintillators and phosphors for white LED sources. This project is devoted to complex study of the influence of preparation techniques on final optical properties of transparent luminescent polycrystalline cerium doped YAG ceramics prepared from nano-powders. For this study optimization of transparent luminescent polycrystalline YAG processing, including disagglomeration, consolidation and sintering processes will be performed in cooperation with FunGlass Centre (Trencin, Slovakia).
