On the project

Recent development in the field of 2D photo-electrocatalytic layered materials for water splitting has been extended by family of transition metal phosphorus trichalcogenides (MPX3). Even though the MPX3 materials are in the current research focus, the knowledge of their local photo-electrochemical performance for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is still limited. This study represents a new approach in analyzing the local photo-electroctalytic properties of MPX3 (i.e. FePS3, NiPS3 and MnPS3) by employing surface-sensitive photo-scanning electrochemical microscopy (photo-SECM).
