Analýza a eliminace prioritních polutantů, pochopení procesů v životním prostředí a vývoj efektivních metod a materiálů souvisejících s ochranou životního prostředí patří mezi nejdůležitější témata související s ochranou životního porstředí. Projekt popisuje základní oblasti výzkumu včetně analýzy anorganických a organických polutantů, biodegradace a environmentální technologie. Projek také popisuje jednotlivá témata s ohledem na chybějící informace v dané oblasti a jednotlivé cíle projektu.
