On the project

Digital image correlation (DIC) is the state of the art method for deformation measurement and may become a powerful tool in fracture mechanics. New method for DIC crack length measurement automation based on physical properties of the crack has the potential to be more versatile than currently used deformation threshold techniques. Enhancement by artificial intelligence algorithms like machine learning or Kalman filter will ensure robustness and improved accuracy of the newly proposed method.
