On the project

The aim of the project is to create a competition for student research grants and its pilot verification. The creation of a new competition will contribute to the development of cross-sectional skills of doctoral students, and thus acquire competencies for work in science and research in the future and increase their success in submitting scientific projects to national and international competitions.

Description in Czech
The project is focused on developing a strategy for the additive manufacturing of overhang geometrical features fabricated by wire arc additive manufacturing. Using different strategies for the manufacturing of overhangs could significantly improve their residual stress and dimensional accuracy (heat input optimization). The main stages of the project: design of overhang samples and different fabrication strategies, design of an algorithm for generating effective printing paths, fabrication of samples and their accuracy evaluation.
