On the project

The cold sintering process (CSP) is widely studied to lower the energy consumption during ceramic processing, using high pressure and low temperature in presence of a transient liquid. The transient liquid is used as a dopant source to obtain doped BaTiO3. The primary focus of this project is to understand the dopant and densification mechanism during CSP in rapid sintering equipment. The electrical characterization will use as a tool to understand the microstructural properties of a material in bulk.
