Description in English
The aim is the research and development of an advanced system for the application of solid friction modifiers in the form of sticks on the wheels of rolling stock. The system consists of an application device allowing automatic control of the stick pressure and a device for detecting the lubrication layer on the surface. The research and development resulted in a consumable in the form of a stick of environmentally acceptable solid lubricant with the required properties. Based on modularity, the results will be applicable to all major segments of rail transport. The application of the results will reduce the negative effects of friction and wear and the environmental burden associated with wheel lubrication. The purpose is to expand the portfolio of products with high export potential.
