Project detail
Development of International Collaboration in Cryptography and Cybersecurity Research
Duration: 1.6.2023 — 31.12.2025
Funding resources
Ministerstvo vnitra ČR - Vyhlášení druhé veřejné soutěže podprogramu 3, PROGRAMU STRATEGICKÁ PODPORA ROZVOJE BEZPEČNOSTNÍHO VÝZKUMU ČR 2019-2025 (IMPAKT 1), PODPROGRAMU 3 ROZVOJ INICIATIVY V BEZPEČNOSTNÍM VÝZKUMU
On the project
Podstatou projektu je podpora společných aktivit v oblasti výzkumu a vývoje bezpečnostních systémů pomocí koordinačních schůzek, sdílení infrastruktur, realizace stáží, pořádání workshopů a tvorba publikací. Tyto aktivity zajistí dlouhodobou udržitelnost zahraničních partnerství a umožní vznik nových projektových konsorcií pro výzvy z programů Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, NSF (USA) atd. Odborná náplň projektu je zaměřena na progresivní oblasti kyberbezpečnosti: 1) (post)kvantová kyberbezpečnost a 2) aplikovaná kryptografie a ochrana soukromí.
Description in English
The main goal of the project is to maintain and develop international cooperation between the BUT and leading institutions active in the field of modern cryptography and cybersecurity. Specifically, it is about strengthening partnerships that have already brought real joint results. These are mainly partnerships with top universities from the EU, e.g., KU Leuven, Belgium; Univ. of Tartu, Estonia; Telecom SudParis, France, which confirmed their interest in further cooperation. This cooperation will be further expanded to include partners from the USA, Canada and Korea. Other goals of the project are: the organization of networking activities, i.e., the regular organization of the SP2I international workshop, which was successfully introduced thanks to the VJ01030002 project, the creation of scientific publications and the creation of consortia for the Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, and NSF (USA) programs.
