On the project
Catalyst’s behaviour under a microscope during a reaction is not very well known. This proposed project sets to understand the evolution of Pt catalyst and individual substances during the CO oxidation. In-situ correlative approach of AFM in-SEM will provide a pristine environment for monitoring the spatio-temporal patterns in real-time. Combining SE images with AFM probe response in a close proximity to the surface will bring us closer to understanding adsorption diffusion processes on the catalyst.
