On the project
Understanding of magnetic order in antiferromagnets (AF) at nm-scale is of key importance for utilizing and engineering this exciting group of materials. Lack of high-resolution (HR) imaging approaches limits full exploitation of AF. Within this project we propose fabrication process of planar-specimen geometry compatible with HR transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and magneto-optical microscopy, allowing correlative imaging of AF order. The proposed approach opens the way to probe AF order with unprecedented spatial resolution with HRTEM.
