On the project

The main goal of this project is to fabricate a synthetic antiferromagnet (SAF) and measure the spin wave propagation inside the SAF system. SAF consists of two or more ferromagnetic layers separated by nonmagnetic spacers and has antiparallel magnetizations. This unique arrangement can help to overcome the limits of the materials currently used in magnonics, which is low power consumption CMOS alternative based on spin waves. SAF will be a new type of material in our group, and I am capable of establishing fabrication and measurement routines.
