On the project

Description in English
The aim of the project is to develop the axial ball joint of steering rod of passenger car that will have a better combination of lower breakaway moments and higher stiffness to ensure high wear resistance compared to the competition. An original feature will be the development of a special inner surface texture of the plastic bearing that will guarantee optimum grease distribution in the ball joint, but still provide sufficient support under common and extreme loads of the ball joint, i.e. in standard driving or when hitting e.g. a kerb. The decreased breakaway moments also has an effect on steering comfort, steering control and reduces noise in the vehicle. An important aspect of the development will be to maintain the economic benefit and competitiveness of the company.
