On the project

Description in English
The basic goal is the development of technology for cleaning membrane bundles used in the removal of pollutants from wastewater. This technology will be created based on the use of cavitation nozzles that create hydrodynamic pressure pulses. Part of the project will be the modification of the surface of the fibers by plasma treatment to minimize biological fouling. The sub-goals are: - design of a cavitation nozzle with sufficient cleaning capacity, but which does not damage the membrane fiber bundle when removing biological deposits - design of the hydraulic circuit (pump, nozzle, visualization of flow, sensing of pressures, flows, possibly vibrations) operation of the cavitation nozzle - proposal of a procedure for plasma treatment of membranes by applying antibacterial layers
