On the project

Projekt se zaměřuje na klíčovou část procesu transferu embryí a produkce embryí in vitro u skotu – stimulaci dárců embryí a oocytů folikulostimulačním hormonem. Projekt cílí na produkci rekombinantního bovinního folikulostimulačního hormonu (rbFSH) s řízeným uvolňováním z hydrogelové matice.

Description in English
The project focuses on a key part of the embryo transfer and in vitro embryo production in cattle – the stimulation of embryo and oocyte donors with follicle-stimulating hormone. The project aims at the production of recombinant bovine follicle-stimulating hormone (rbFSH) with controlled release from a hydrogel matrix. The sub-goals of the project are: 1. Introduction of rbFSH production in a mammalian in vitro system 2. Test of biological activity of rbFSH on bovine oocytes in vitro 3. Preparation of a thermosensitive hydrogel matrix for slow release of rbFSH after intramuscular administration into the bloodstream 4. Test of biological activity of controlled release rbFSH in vivo. Project results will be the a prerequisite for the production of the rbFSH with controlled release.
