On the project
Cement-bonded particleboard of new generation with direct impact on climate change mitigation
Description in English
The intention of the project is research and development of a new environmentally friendly cement-bonded particleboard with a direct impact on climate change mitigation. The development of a new board binder by significantly reducing the Portland clinker content will be crucial. Two types of binder – based on (a) clinker; (b) alkali-activated precursors will be developed. Mainly by-products from the processing of cement-bonded particleboards (or other alternative raw materials) with increased reactivity (mechanically, chemically) will be used. Low amount of the clinker will reduce the carbon footprint and the consumption of primary raw materials – also one of the objectives. The developed products (5 Gfunk, 1 Fuzit) will contribute to increase the competitiveness of the CIDEM Hranice, a.s.
