On the project
This project proposes studying the surface antiferromagnetic order in FeRh thin metallic films using low-energy electron microscopy to visualize their high-resolution local domain distributions, a necessary step towards their better understanding and use in future technological applications. We aim to optimize surface preparation conditions in order to enable the visualization of half-order diffraction spots corresponding to surface antiferromagnetism and image its surface domain distribution using dark-field imaging mode.
