On the project

This study explores the spatial distribution of microplastics in zebrafish using microCT, a nondestructive 3D imaging technique. Tracking MPs post-ingestion aims to determine accumulation patterns and potential toxicological effects. MicroCT preserves spatial data, unlike conventional methods, enabling more accurate ecotoxicological assessments. Findings will provide critical insights into MPs' impact on digestion and organismal health, contributing to environmental risk evaluations.
