On the project
Description in EnglishGrant project will be used for elaboration of methodology for optimization of continuous casting of steel sows with use of original numerical model which will be within the frame of project solution developed, tuned and verified by experimental measurement at industrial continuous casting machines (CCM). Final program will have the following properties: it will solve non-stationary 3-D temperature field of continuously cast sows and of the mould as a non-linear task, it will simulate CCM as a whole or any of its parts, it will solve current thermokinetic problems in general and in details. Critical points of sows from the viewpoint of their increased susceptibility to crack and fissure formation will be moreover assessed by the model of dendritic segregation of elements. Verification of technological impacts of optimization resulting from both models will be made at real industrial CCM with use of the system of quality prediction verified by the applicant.
