On the project
Description in EnglishWe start from the fact that a number of young people have learned to use the Internet. Many secondary schools are connected to this network, there are Internet cafes, homes access is becoming current. The aim is to build virtual laboratories and databases of multimedia educational-professional programmes that would arouse young people's interest in science and technology. This would involve building virtual laboratories enabling experimental work in physics, mechatronics, optics, telecommunications andchemical control. An advantage of these virtual laboratories is that without the necessity of major capital investment they will enable a great number of users to experiment with modern and costly instruments and technologies, to realise technical ideasand to verify the validity of new methods. Multimedia educational programmes will provide, in a popular form, access to new knowledge, and show the possibility of young people finding a role in prospective technical areas.
