Original Abstract
Of all the systems with which people have to deal every day, road traf. systems are the most complex and the most dangerous. Road traf. injuries constitute a major development crisis and public health challenge that requires concerted efforts for effective and sustainable prevention. Death and and injury as a result of road traf. accidents is now acknowledged to be a global phenomenon with authorities in virtually all countries of the world concerned about the growth in the number of people killed and seriously injured on their roads. However, unlike developed or high-income countries, many developing countries have made very little progress towards addressing this problem. Nonetheless, there are ways to strengthen the reduction of injured persons which can help to lower the toll from road traf. accidents. The aim of this investigation is to elucidate ways to accomplish these goals in the context of African countries compared to European.
