Original Abstract
The subject of this work is the study of dielectric properties of perspective environmentally compatible electrical insulating fluids for electrical engineering and the relations with their chemical structure. Up to now, properties of the following natural oils have been experimentally studied: rapeseed and soybean oil. In addition, the same measurements were done on methylesters of fatty acids occurring in the natural oils, which include: methyl palmitate, methyl laurate, methyl stearate and methyl oleate. Measurements were performed on the HP 4284A and the ALPHA-A High Performance Frequency Analyzer by Novocontrol with high-resolution frequency range 0,01 Hz – 40 MHz in the temperature interval 263 K – 373 K.
Keywords
biodegradability, dielectric constant, dielectric loss, frequency dependence, temperature dependence, insulating liquids, methyl laurate, methyl oleate, methyl palmitate, methyl stearate, rapeseed oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, vegetable oil.
