Original Abstract

This paper deals with environmental influence on variability of an equine cardiovascular system performance. The equine cardiovascular system is greatly influenced by its environment which influences ECG signal. For the work which primarily studies the causes of sudden cardiac death in horses we need to have suitable equine ECG signal measured during rest. We have developed a software for detection of RR and QT intervals and computing their frequency spectra. Variability of frequency spectra can be used for evaluation of a quality of the surroundings where the measurements are done. The experiments indicate that measuring ECG signals in stables in evening or at night hours is highly preferable.
