Original Abstract
Statistics declare that more than 10,000 new houses are built in the Czech Republic every year. The population curve has had a declining character for several years. Does it make any sense to deal with the restoration of old houses currently, or is their disposal a better idea followed by building a new one? This paper evaluates the experience with the design and implementation of the reconstruction of a typical house from 1922 to match the standards of living at present. During the reconstruction the non-traditional construction were used as a wood-concrete ceiling and a granted wooden roof with insulations above the rafters.
