Original Abstract
The operation of swimming pools inside of currently very popular water parks is very specific, because of the characteristics of indoor climate. Integral (and fundamental) part of the design documentation of these buildings is the thermal-technical assessment and design of the building's envelope. The designer has to deal with high indoor temperature and relative humidity. This requires a detailed design of external walls and roof. In particular it is necessary to pay attention to critical structure details. This paper deals with the thermal-technical design of chosen parts of swimming pool hall's envelopes with regards to existing legislations and outdoor climatic conditions in the Czech Republic and technological and economical optimization of the design. The result of such design should be a functional building envelope which is easy to maintain and has a long service life.
