Presentovaný funkční vzorek se zabývá optimálním návrhem předpjaté membrány nad eliptickým půdoryse, kterou lze použít pro zastřešení sportovního stadionu. Na vzorku lze ukázat konstrukční uspořádání, proces výstavby a vysvětlit stanovení rovnovážného stavu. Lze také formulovat některé principy, které by měly být dodrženy při návrhu eliptické konstrukce, aby se zabránilo nepříznivému zvýšení horizontálních a vertikálních posunů.

This functional sample deals with optimal design of a prestressed membrane above elliptical plan which can be used for roofing of sports stadium terraces. The structural arrangement and the process of construction are described here and the determination of equilibrium state is also explained. There are formulated some principles which should be adhered during the design of elliptical structure to avoid an inadmissible increase in horizontal and vertical displacements.
