Original Abstract

Paper aims to describe and model processes in concrete during fire. Concrete is porous material, which contains water and moisture. Water in concrete is: a) in pores (from production and from outer environment), b) chemically bounded. Higher temperature releases chemically bounded water into the pores, which increases pore pressure. Increased pressure may lead to service failures. Amount of moisture in the pore structure is essential for the reliability and stability of building constructions. Mathematical model of this phenomenon consists of nonlinear non-stationary system of partial differential equations accompanied by the boundary conditions. From the equations a numerical scheme is derived. The numerical results are compared with data from experiment.

Keywords
