Original Abstract
The performances of dual-hop SISO free-space optical (FSO) communication systems in a serial relay configuration with amplify and forward (AF) scheme over turbulence induced fading channel is presented. Taking into account wide range of turbulence conditio n, we consider that the system channel is operating over a Gamma-Gamma distributed fading channel. For the end-to-end outage probability, BER and channel capacity of a dual-hop FSO system, the analytical closed-form expressions are derived. Furthermore to improve the system performances the Alamouti spacetime (ST) coding scheme is incorporated. In order to validate our proposed scheme, various mathematical analysis, numerical results and simulation results are presented.
