Original Abstract

Design of the gas turbine control system is a challenging process during the development of the gas turbine engine. In this article, we present identification and modeling of the gas generator for a 180 kW turboshaft engine, which is being developed in PBS VB (První brněnská strojírna Velká Bíteš, a.s.). The gas generator can be described as a nonlinear dynamic system, which comprises mechanical, thermodynamical and dynamical effects in various operational modes of the engine. This work also describes design and modeling of a hydro-mechanical backup fuel-control system. The hydro-mechanical backup fuel-control system is designed as a backup for a FADEC of the engine. Simulations of the identified model with the hydro-mechanical control system are also presented.
