Original Abstract
This paper describes the process of experimental and numerical study of thermal load of working rolls in the conditions of hot rolling. Realistic cooling boundary conditions are obtained using special laboratory bench and methodology. The full-scale laboratory experiments use rows of nozzles that are identical in configuration to those at the rolling mill and the same operation conditions, including pressures, velocities and coolant temperatures, are also used.
