Original Abstract

This paper presents the part of the hopping algorithm used in the Bluetooth system. Bluetooth operates in the ISM 2.4 GHz band. This band is globally allocated and free accessed. The systems working inside have to solve the interference requirements especially. Bluetooth uses to spread spectrum the FHSS algorithm. It hops across 79 channels in the band from 2402 MHz to 2480 MHz. The channels spacing is 1 MHz. There are five types of the hopping sequences each for the certain procedure. The procedures are Inquiry, Inquiry Response, Page, Page Response and Connection.
