Original Abstract
We investigated a decomposition of caffeine in direct current electrical discharge with diaphragm configuration. Caffeine solutions were prepared in concentration from 10 to 100 ppm and initial conductivity was adjusted with sodium chloride or sulfuric acid. Hydrogen peroxide formation during electrical discharge was determined by colorimetric method based on generation of complex with titanium(IV) sulfate reagent.
