Original Abstract
This article describes the basis and characteristics of the DYPREP method for making predictions about projects. The method employs finite state machines and Markov chains. These allow the behavioural dynamics of complex software development projects to be captured. It may serve as a means for determining a project development forecast, particularly in terms of milestones and at moments the project state is examined.
