Original Abstract
The papaer deals with the problems of the actual behaviour, failure mechanism and load-carrying capacity of the special bolt connection developed and intended for the assembly connections of truss main girders of perspective temporary steel railway bridges. Within the framework of the problem solution, several types of structural details of assembly joints were considered as the conceptual structural design. Following the preliminary evaluation of their advantages or disadvantages, two basic structural configurations have been chosen for the subsequent detailed investigation, which is mainly based on the experimental verification of the actual behaviour, failure mechanism and corresponding load-carrying capacity of the connection. The paper is only focused on the cyclic (fatigue) test results of so-called splice-plate connections and their evaluation already finished. Simultaneously with the fatigue tests, the static loading tests have also been realized, however these ones are not the subject of the paper.
