Original Abstract

Thermal noise is the main sources of voltage or current fluctuation in piezoceramic samples. Noise spectral density of thermal noise is proportional to sensor equivalent series resistance and decreases with increasing frequency. In the frequency range where sensor mechanical resonances appear noise spectral density may be expressed by the equation for thermal noise using equivalent series resistance value. Signal to noise ratio depends on sensor geometry and sample polarization. Automatic measuring set-up for noise spectral density measurements was used.
