Facility managment je komplexní multioborová metoda, která se zaměřuje na uspořádání, výkon a řízení podpůrných služeb, jejíž přidanou hodnotu je možné spatřovat ve zvýšení efektivity hlavních činností. K významným podpůrným činnostem v rámci facility managementu patří správa majetku včetně správy budov. Z hlediska dlouhodobé analýzy nákladů běžných institucí vycházejí náklady spojené s vlastnictvím, rozvojem, obnovou, údržbou a správou fixního majetku a službami, které jsou s tímto majetkem poskytovány, jako jedny z nejvyšších. [1] Článek je zaměřen na problematiku evidence majetku veřejné správy, tedy jak státních institucí, tak i orgánů územní samosprávy. Přitom je především orientován na evidenci a správu majetku obcí a dobrovolných svazků obcí.
