Original Abstract
The book is based on the efficient subsoil model introduced by authors in 1977 and the applied in ther design of foundations. From the designer's point of view the model considerable reducesthe extent of calculations connected with the numerical analysis of sioil-structure intearction. Besides presenting the energy definition and generak theory of both 2D and 3D model forms, tyhe book deals with practical problems such as Kirchhoff"s and Mindlin"s foundation plates, interaction between fneighbouring structures , actual values of physical parameters of subsoils and eigenferquencies and eigenmodes of fundation plates.
