Original Abstract

Česká republika disponuje dlouhou historií výroby, která na našem území zanechala značný objem industriálních areálů, z nichž dnes většina postrádá využití. Jelikož se jedná o objekty s vysokou architektonickou, urbanistickou a historickou hodnotou, stávají se polem interdisciplinárních sporů jejichž většinovým výsledkem je demolice. Stále rostoucí počet světových příkladů však ukazuje na možnost využití brownfieldů jako tzv. “Toolboxu” městotvorných nástrojů, které jsou nezbytné pro naplňování trendů a potřeb urbanistického navrhování. Tyto komplexy mají v současné době obrovský potenciál zejména tím, že vytváří inkubátory nových typologií reagujících na transformaci životního a pracovního stylu lidí. Lze je proto vnímat jako rozhraní pro vytváření prototypů urbanistického rozvoje s možností přímého “beta-testování”. Tato skutečnost tak staví opuštěné industriální zóny do pozice naprosto nezbytné pro definici nového, kvalitnějšího prostředí pro lidský život.

English abstract

Czech Republic has a long history of production, which in our country has left a considerable amount of industrial parks, of which today most lacks usage. Since the objects with high architectural, urban and historical value, they become the majority of the interdisciplinary field of disputes the result is demolition. An increasing number of the world's examples, however, points to the possibility of using Brownfields as a "Toolbox" designed around 150 instruments that are necessary for the fulfilment of the trends and needs of urban design. These complexes currently have enormous potential, in particular by creating incubators of new typologies responding to the transformation of life and work style of the humankind. Can therefore be seen as an interface for creating prototypes of urban development with direct "beta-testing". This fact puts a deserted industrial zone into a position to be absolutely necessary for the definition of a new, better environment for human life.
