Original Abstract
This paper shows how several polymer admixtures (vinyl acetate, ethylene and acrylic acid ester based, polyethylene glycol) and shrinkage-reducing admixtures influence the mechanical and rheological properties of alkali-activated slag mortars. Compressive and flexural strength of AAS mortars were measured at 28-days. Drying shrinkage of the mortar was measured up to 1 month. The microstructure of the resultant alkali-activated slag mortars was assessed by scanning electron microscopy.
