Original Abstract
Several different test were carried out in the semi-industrial burner testing facility to investigate the influence of inert gases in the fuel on the flame characteristics, emissions and heat flux to the wall of the combustion chamber. For the experiment were used two different burner one with the staged fuel distribution and the second with the staged air distribution. As diluents of the noble fuel (natural gas) were used nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Higher concentration of inert gas in the fuel had significant impact on all monitored parameters.
