Original Abstract

The autocorrelation function of two laser speckle fields obtained step by step with two laser waves of different wavelengths scatered from the same area of a rough surface is determined within the framework of the scalar Kirchhoff theory of wave scattering from random surfaces. Results obtained in the Fresnel and Fraunhofer approximation are compared. The disparity of solutions is discussed from the point of view of surface roughness measurement.
